A26 Ballymoney to Coleraine on this site
|
The A26 is the key route that connects the large town of Coleraine and the rest of the north coast to Belfast via Ballymoney, Ballymena and Antrim. Most of the route from Ballymoney to Coleraine is single-carriageway, but this section is dual-carriageway and marks the final 1.2km towards the Coleraine Ring Road. It begins at the relatively new Windyhall roundabout and runs past the Causeway Hospital to the Wattstown roundabout.
Traffic levels on the A26 at the Coleraine end in 2001 were c. 13,000 vehicles per day [Source].
