A26 Wattstown, Coleraine on this site
|
The A26 is the key route that connects the large town of Coleraine and the rest of the north coast to Belfast via Ballymoney, Ballymena and Antrim. The final section from Ballymoney to Coleraine is approximately 10km (6 miles) long and includes two short sections of dual-carriageway together making up about 25% of the route. The rest of the route is single-carriageway.
This one, the first, is half way between the two towns and is essentially an overtaking opportunity 1.3km long in the townland of Seacon North. (The other, at Wattstown is dealt with on its own page - see link above.)
